When it comes to improving your skin health, a consistent regimen is key, so too is plenty of sleep and hydration. For those in need of some extra TLC, a targeted SkinCeuticals Chemical Peel is perfect to reveal smoother, healthier skin. Chemical peels work by exfoliating the skin’s surface to reduce the appearance of blemishes, smooth skin texture, improve radiance and restore skin health.
What conditions can be treated?
The key to optimal skin health is a skincare professional. By combining a customised at-home regimen with powerful in-office treatments and targeted skincare solutions, the result is healthier skin with visible improvement in fine lines, wrinkles, and other signs of premature ageing.
Superficial chemical peels exfoliate the skin, allowing dead skin cells to be removed more effectively, excess oils on the skin are also removed. This action unblocks hair follicles and pores and reducing the appearance of pimples and improving skin texture that is damaged by acne.
Fine lines and Wrinkles
A hi-tech approach to skincare, chemical peels are especially powerful at banishing signs of aged skin, particularly under the eyes and around the mouth.
Rough Skin Texture
Chemical peels can improve rough skin texture by increasing the amount of collagen in the upper layer of the skin.
Dark Spots, Liver Spots & Age Spots
Large freckles and dark spots can develop as a result of sun exposure and are present on sites which are exposed to excess sun such as the face, arms and neck. A course of chemical peels can lighten large freckles and improve the appearance of sun damaged skin.
The skin discoloration which appears in patches commonly found on the cheeks, nose, lips, upper lip, and forehead, Melasma is common in women who are taking hormonal treatment and pregnant women. A course of chemical peels can lighten the appearance of dark discoloured skin caused by melasma.
Caused by excess skin pigment which can result in uneven skin tone, chemical peels can lighten and even out the tone and appearance of the skin.
A chemical peel is a skin treatment used to improve and smooth out the surface of the facial skin. A chemical solution is used to remove top layers of skin which allows the dead surface skin to peel off. The peeling process leads to new skin growth, which is usually smoother, healthier and less wrinkled compared to the old skin.
Designed to work in conjunction with clinical procedures and a homecare regimen, the chemical peel treatments utilise potent technologies with customised protocols for specific skin types, conditions, and skin improvement goals. Chemical peels are essential for maintaining and restoring skin’s health and appearance, the range of exfoliating treatments help resurface the uppermost layer of the skin to reveal new, healthy skin underneath. Chemical peels are available in a variety of formulations and concentrations to target various skin concerns including fine lines and wrinkles, blemishes, enlarged pores, and uneven skin tone.

What to expect from my treatment?
At your appointment, your skincare nurse will first cleanse and tone your face before applying the customised chemical peel using a gentle brush. The peel will be left on the skin for between two and five minutes, during which time you may experience some mild tingling.
After your peel you may notice that the skin is more red than usual for a few hours after treatment, you may also notice that the skin feels tight or dry. However, at Skin Boost, we’ll equip you with all the after-care instructions needed to ensure best results.
We recommend a course of six peels one or two weeks apart
